Our journey into the world of specialty coffee
It all started in 2008, when we founded our company with one clear goal – to meet the demand for high-quality coffee, tea and hot chocolate on the Bulgarian market. From the very beginning, we have been driven by the pursuit of quality without compromise – both in our products and in our customer service. Over time, these customers have become something more – our friends and like-minded people who share our values, mission and sometimes even our concerns.
Today, our main passion and focus is specialty coffee , which you know as DABOV Specialty Coffee - a brand we created in 2014.
Coffee as a cause, not just a product
Over time, we realized that DABOV Specialty Coffee is not just a product – it is a project . A project that starts on the farm and ends in your cup, and we are the connection between the farmer and the ultimate connoisseur . We have a responsibility to both – to present the work of the producers in the best possible way and to provide customers with coffee of exceptional quality.
Fair price. True value.
Our approach is based on ethics and respect for the farmer's labor . We do not bargain. We do not wring our hands. On the contrary, we offer a fair and decent price for high-quality green coffee, which often exceeds the expectations of the producers. We know that when the farmer receives adequate remuneration, he can improve the lives of his family and his community. This is our motivation to move forward.
From farm to cup – every step matters
We store, transport and roast coffee with care and attention , because we know that every detail matters for the taste in your cup. We work with beans rated over 86 points by international Q-graders – coffees that are only available at specialized online auctions . It is such coffees that we choose – the best of the best.
Green coffee arrives at our store in special GrainPro packaging , which preserves its freshness and aromas during storage and transportation.
World-class expertise and recognition
Since 2013, our founder Yordan Dabov has been the only Bulgarian to be selected as a jury member for the prestigious Cup of Excellence competition – the most respected international specialty coffee competition. He has had the honor of judging coffee from farms in Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras and Mexico.
The Cup of Excellence, organized by the Alliance for Coffee Excellence , encourages farmers to produce coffee of exceptional quality, for which they receive many times higher prices on the international market. We are proud to be part of this community.
