Foundation "Dabov's Children for the Children of Bulgaria": Because children are our future
We established our Foundation "Children of DABOV for the Children of Bulgaria" in 2018 in our desire to contribute to the well-being of Bulgarian children with various charitable projects of our own. Children are the future of our country, and caring for tomorrow starts today.
Here are our charitable actions:
Martenitsa with a cause 2025
DABOV Specialty Coffee and the Pavel Andreev Foundation joined forces in the “Martenitsa with a Cause” campaign to help disadvantaged children by raising 600 leva from the sale of handmade martenitsa. This initiative demonstrates the power of partnership between business and charity, proving that even small gestures can lead to significant change.
Christmas with a Cause 2024
This year we are dedicated to two important causes through the charity box "My Christmas" and the cards made by the children of DABOV Specialty Coffee employees. With each box purchased, 5 leva will be donated for the treatment of little Moni, who needs help to move forward. Another 5 leva will be directed to the Cedar Foundation and their campaign "Every donation matters", which provides specialized therapies such as aquatic rehabilitation, art and occupational therapy, kinesitherapy, educational and psychological support, which will help dozens of children and young people with disabilities develop their skills for independent living. The amount of the cards will be donated entirely to little Moni.
DABOV Specialty Coffee is the new main coffee supplier for CSKA 2024
It is an honor and privilege for us to be the main coffee supplier for CSKA and to support Bulgarian sports and our talents. We believe that quality coffee can be part of the daily motivation and focus of athletes, supporting them on the path to their goals. We proudly stand behind the Bulgarian champions and strive to be their loyal partner in the pursuit of success.
DABOV Specialty Coffee and KORPlus Foundation: together in support of education in 2024
DABOV Specialty Coffee is pleased to support the Foundation “Corpus for Education and Development – CORPlyus” in its quest to develop young talents in Bulgaria. Through initiatives such as the Bulgarian National English Spelling Bee, the organization motivates students to improve their knowledge. The funds raised from the last charity quiz ensured the participation of five finalists in the summer language camp – an inspiring experience that rewards their hard work. We are proud that our coffee became part of the prizes for the winners and participants.
DABOV Specialty Coffee supports the 2024 European Men's U19 Water Polo Championship
We are proud to support the development of Bulgarian sport. We are honored to have the opportunity to support the Bulgarian Water Polo Federation and the European Men's Water Polo Championship U19, which took place in early September 2024. By providing specialty coffee to the athletes and their teams, we want to contribute to their energy and motivation during the competitions.
Our mission is to be by the side of Bulgaria's young talents and to give them additional support on the path to success.
Tuk-Tam Charity Gala Cocktail 2024
For 16 years now, Hiti-Tam has been working diligently to ensure that every young person in Bulgaria has a chance to succeed. The platform organizes various educational initiatives, but is known for bringing together professionals who are ready to dedicate their time to mentor students and help them in their development.
On June 13, 2024, their "Charity Gala Cocktail" was held, with which they raise funds to maintain and develop their activities. Our participation in the charity auction brought 6,000 leva for the cause, which were won in a bid for an individual coffee tasting with Yordan Dabov.
Spelling bee charity event 2024
Spelling Bee is the largest English spelling competition in Bulgaria. Its mission is to develop and stimulate children's desire to master foreign languages and to make them more receptive to the world and the people in it. On June 14, 2024, a charity quiz was held at the Petak bar, which helped send the champions of the competition to a summer language camp. Among the prizes was a "Coffee Tasting for Two" from Dabov Specialty Coffee. The quiz raised 2300 BGN, thanks to which the best-performing children in the competition had an unforgettable week in the village of Godlevo at the foot of the Pirin Mountains, filled with games, sports, entertainment and new friendships!
World Book Day 2024
April 23 is a special day for all those who love reading, because that is when we celebrate World Book Day. And of course, we couldn’t help but celebrate this holiday with another event that we organized at our location in the “Iztok” district.
We would like to thank the author Ralitsa Gencheva, who accepted our invitation to attend a literary reading, which in turn transformed into a real conversation and exchange of thoughts between her and the attendees. Supported by our coffee, prepared on site by our baristas, Ralitsa and all the guests of the event turned our location into a real literary club. 20% of every book sold was donated to help Johnny and Borko. We would also like to thank everyone who once again purchased our “Box of the Month”, where we traditionally set aside part of the proceeds for a charitable cause. Thanks to all of you, we managed to collect a total of 1,800 BGN, which will be directed to helping children in need.
International Children's Book Day 2024
On April 2, we celebrated International Children's Book Day, and we organized an event at our facility in ZK. Iztok specifically for the occasion. We invited talented authors and illustrators who presented their art to the gathered guests - children and adults.
The young author Victoria Dabova presented passages from her book "Wonderful Tales", and Alexander Stoychev from the publishing house "Robertino" introduced the audience to his children's book "Tales from the Sunbeam". Last but not least, the illustrator Mila Yaneva-Tabakova, author of the two beautiful covers of the new edition of "101 Dalmatians" from the publishing house "Rizhko", also introduced us to her talent. 30% of all proceeds go to charitable causes.

And in 2024, we kept the tradition of organizing "Martenichki with a Cause", as all our like-minded people had the opportunity to purchase martenichki for charity, made by the children of our employees. We transferred the collected amount of 1000 leva to baby Yoni, who is struggling with diagnoses of hyperinsulinism and Q87.8 - other specified syndromes of congenital anomalies, not elsewhere classified.
Antarctica 2023
We are honored to support the Bulgarian Antarctic Society and their expedition, which began in 2023, by providing them with special DelmarTe coffee and tea. The warmth of these beverages is not just comfort, but a true necessity for survival on the harsh continent. We believe that in every cup of coffee and tea lies strength and inspiration that supports the brave explorers on their journey, reminding them of home and our support from a distance.
Box with a cause 2023
This year we created a cause box that can be purchased in all our stores, as well as online. 10 leva from each sale of our "Children's Box" is divided equally as donations for Stefcho and Georgi, who need treatment abroad to have the opportunity for a full life. In addition, we organized a campaign at the 78th Secondary School Hristo Smirnenski, where children could join the cause by purchasing the children's book "Wonderful Tales". We managed to collect 730 leva, which we divided equally between the two children.

Our annual initiative “Martenichki with a Cause” continued in 2023, when the children of DABOV Specialty Coffee employees again made martenichki, which you could purchase for a charitable purpose. We chose to help two children - Dalia and Marie-Antoineta, who suffer from cerebral palsy and spina bifida, respectively. “Martenichki with a Cause” is an initiative of the “Dabov's Children for the Children of Bulgaria” Foundation and takes place every year.
Charity Christmas Market 2022
Every year, we at Dabov Specialty Coffee organize a charity bazaar through which we raise funds for our chosen charitable cause. In December 2022, our charity Christmas bazaar took place, through which we managed to raise funds that we donated to three children in need of treatment abroad. From the end of November 2022 until the end of the year, everyone who wanted to support our charitable cause had the opportunity to choose a gift with which to please their loved one, as well as to help children in need of help. The children of DABOV Specialty Coffee employees made greeting Christmas cards that were available in all our stores. We managed to raise a total of 2,310.43 BGN, which we distributed equally between three children in need of treatment in Turkey. These are Moni, Bela and Borislav.
International Children's Day – June 1, 2022
On the occasion of International Children's Day - June 1, in 2022, we decided to create a special gift for children - a truly "Wonderful Box". While choosing a gift for your child for his holiday, you are also helping two children in need. From each box, we donate 10 leva for the treatment of Radost, 7 years old, and Ivayla, 9 years old, from Pernik. Both need active rehabilitation, which can be carried out abroad. We will distribute the proceeds equally between the two children. To them we will also add the proceeds from the sales of our children's book "Wonderful Tales", made during our Children's Literary Reading event on the occasion of International Children's Book Day.

Together again – the children of the employees at Dabov Specialty Coffee and everyone who purchased martenitsa made by them – gave Good to two heroes – Simona and Viktor, who we told you about at the beginning of our charity campaign in 2022! The amount collected from the March Bazaar amounts to 1200 BGN and is divided equally between Simona Parusheva from Provadia and Viktor Dimov from Varna, who need treatment abroad.

And in 2021. we continued the tradition of our charitable Christmas events. From November 29, 2021 until the end of the year, in our two locations in Sofia, everyone who wanted to support our initiative had the opportunity to choose a gift with which to please their loved ones and at the same time extend a hand to people in need. Handmade Christmas souvenirs and art objects donated by our friends, and cards made by the children of employees at DABOV, pleased dozens of people, and the funds collected worth 1610 BGN were divided into two equal parts between two children in need of expensive treatment outside Bulgaria. These are Velizara, 8 years old, from Vidin, and Emel, 9 years old, from Pleven. This year, we also supported single mother Gergana Tomova, who takes care of her boy, who suffers from autism.

In February 2021, the children of the employees at Dabov Specialty Coffee made martenitsa, which were displayed in our two locations in Sofia. The martenitsa were free of charge, but anyone who wanted to could make a contribution by purchasing one. The funds, worth 584.90 leva, were donated for the treatment of 1-year-old Yoana from Haskovo abroad.
Charity Christmas Market 2020
Our Charity Christmas Bazaar 2020 took place between December 1 and December 31, 2020 in both of our Sofia salons. The bazaar offered handmade Christmas cards from the children of DABOV Specialty Coffee employees. In addition, the bazaar also included handmade Christmas souvenirs and art objects donated by our friends and fans. All proceeds from the bazaar were divided into three equal parts between three children in need of treatment outside Bulgaria. These are Nelis, 2 years old, from Veliko Tarnovo, Vasi, 6 years old, from Kardzhali, and Angel, from Shumen. We are happy to announce that each child received 700 leva for the improvement of their health.
Charity Christmas Bazaar 2019
On December 22, 2019, our Charity Christmas Bazaar was held in our showroom in Sofia with handmade art objects and souvenirs made by our friends and fans. It also included Christmas cards made by the children of DABOV Specialty Coffee employees. Sales of souvenirs from our Charity Christmas Bazaar continued until the end of the year and we are happy to share that thanks to your generosity we were able to raise 750 BGN for each child from our charity campaign. These are Bozhidara, 4 years old from Plovdiv, Krisko, 12 years old from Bankya, and Yordan, 1 year and 9 months old from Radomir. They all need expensive treatment abroad, which their families cannot afford on their own. The good news is that all the funds necessary for Krisko to start his treatment have already been raised! We hope that we will be delighted with similar good news for Bozhidara and Yordan.
Charity Christmas Bazaar 2018
On December 8, 9, 15 and 16, 2018, our first Charity Christmas Bazaar was held in our showroom in Sofia with some of our most intriguing products at special prices. And we don’t just mean coffee! The children of DABOV Specialty coffee employees participated in a workshop “From the children of DABOV for the children of Bulgaria” on December 1, 2018 and made their own Christmas cards. They also participated in the bazaar. All proceeds from sales during these days, equal to 3,000 BGN, were distributed in four equal amounts among four sick children in need of treatment.
