Karamo Coffee Export is a family-owned company founded by Niguse Gemeda Mude and his sons. With over 60 years of farming experience, they operate several processing stations in the Bensa region and work with over 1,500 small-scale producers who source cherries from surrounding villages. The company is distinguished by its traceability, sustainable practices and commitment to improving the livelihoods of farmers. Karamo is a symbol of the new generation of Ethiopian producers – people who combine traditional knowledge with modern science to produce world-class coffee.
Our collaboration with the Marisabel Caballero and Moises Herrera family has been going on for over a decade – a partnership based on trust, sustainability, and a shared passion for specialty coffee.
